“Heaven Made”, the first single from “The Embers EP” by West Midlands based Tooth & Dagger, is now available on all streaming platforms (Spotify Link). Gigs in support of the EP began in February with a sold-out headline show at The Mitre, Stourbridge. In the crowd that night was former Diamond Head frontman Sean Harris, who says of Tooth & Dagger:
“They were so tight and they have that unique balance between heavy and smooth. With their great songs and addictive energy, these guys are going to be massive”
Sean Harris (Lead Singer, Diamond Head)

The video for “Heaven Made”, shot on location in Stourbridge and featuring the band, brings the vivid lyrics to life through a gritty reworking of ‘The Princess and the Frog’. Drummer Chris Watson says
“’Heaven Made’, like most of our songs, has some real dark undertones and we wanted to make a music video that reflects our sound”
Chris Watson (Drummer, Tooth & Dagger)
On 05/12/2021, Tooth & Dagger (then known as Embers) were Paul Collins’ special guest act on Black Country Matters for Black Country Radio. They performed an acoustic version of “Heaven Made” as part of a live session, which guitarist Iain Sutherland says is testament to the strength of the song:
“From the first time we heard Luce playing the main riff on the bass, we were hooked. Luckily, we have two excellent vocalists who were able to craft a vocal part that builds on the catchiness of that riff. It means any casual listener can really love this song, not just metalheads.”
Iain Sutherland (Guitarist, Tooth & Dagger)
The band, consisting of Iain (guitar), Chris (drums), Dante (singer/lyricist) and Lucinda (bass/vocals), formed in late 2020. Since 2021 Tooth & Dagger have been working under the mentorship of Ned’s Atomic Dustbin and Spairs frontman Jonn Penney, who says
“How to describe Tooth & Dagger? Let’s see…. How about a potent, focused, hook-driven metal machine with songs that knock you over then coax you back to your feet again with vocals that are angelic and beastly all at once. Yep, that’d do it!”.
Jonn Penney (Lead Singer, Ned’s Atomic Dustbin & Spairs)
